About Sean Cameron Racing

Sean Cameron commenced his training career in the 1989/1990 racing season.

A smaller stable, usually having around 12 horses in constant work most of which for the South Auckland trainer is carried out on the Waiuku Beach. Owning his own transport, is a bonus for Sean, as it enables him to travel long distances of his own accord.

Training both flat horses and those for the jumping circuit, Sean isn’t afraid to travel his stables long distance. For years he has sojourned to the South Island taking in various circuits, including those in the cold winter months when most of the prominent jumping races take place.

Sean recently enjoyed some very nice successes on the West Coast circuit. Even though he maintains a smaller team, Sean has amassed during his training career just under NZ$1 million.

Showing his versatility by training not only horses for flat racing but for jumps racing includes the successful Quartze. A winner on the flat on 5 occasions 3 over steeples and 1 Hurdling topped his career. Highlights being the winner of 2 Restricted Open Steeplechases both in the South Island and then winning a Hurdle at Ellerslie.
